Follow thesestepstoinstall aforward-facing

1. Position thechild restraint onthe seat.

30) .Do not install childrestraints that

webbing-mounted attachments,removeany
additional slackfromtheanchor attach-
ments. Pressdownward andrearward firmly
in the center ofthe child restraint withyour
knee tocompress thevehicle seatcushion
and seatback whiletightening thewebbing
of the anchor attachments.
5. Tighten thetether strapaccording tothe
manufacturer's instructionstoremove any
slack.

6. After attaching thechild restraint, testit
before youplace thechild init.Push itfrom
side toside while holding thechild restraint
near theLATCH attachment path.Thechild
restraint shouldnotmove morethan1inch
(25 mm),from sidetoside. Try to tug it
forward andcheck tosee ifthe LATCH
attachment holdstherestraint inplace. Ifthe
restraint isnot secure, tightentheLATCH
attachment asnecessary ,or put therestraint
in another seatandtestitagain. You may
need totry adifferent childrestraint. Notall
child restraints fitinall types ofvehicles.
7. Check tomake surethechild restraint is
properly securedpriortoeach use.Ifthe child
restraint isloose, repeat steps1

lower anchors (rearoutboard seatpositions
only) .
1. Remove thehead restraint andstore itin a
secure place.Besure toreinstall thehead
restraint whenthechild restraint isremoved
(rear outboard seatpositions) .

2. Secure thetop tether straptothe tether
anchor pointonthe back ofthe seatback

The back ofthe child restraint shouldbe
secured againstthevehicle seatback.
If necessary ,adjust orremove thehead
restraint toobtain thecorrect childrestraint
fit. Ifthe head restraint isremoved, storeitin

across thetop, middle portion ofthe child's

6. Follow thewarnings, cautionsandinstruc-
tions forproperly fastening aseat belt
